What is an achromatic lens?
An achromatic lens or Achromat is a lens that's created for the purpose of limiting the effects of lens(chromatic and spherical) aberration. Achromatic lenses are adjusted to attract two wavelengths to concentrate in precisely the exact same plane.
What is a chromatic aberration?
Chromatic aberration, also Called chromatic distortion and spherochromatism, is an effect generated from dispersion as a result of failure of a lens to focus all colors to the identical convergence point. When white light passes through glass, each wavelength component of this light is separated and concentrates at several points on a plane. Chromatic aberration appear as "fringes" of color along borders that separate dark and bright parts of the image, due to each color in the optical spectrum can't be concentrated at one common point.

Spherical aberration is an Optical effect that occurs in a lens as a result of gain of refraction of light beams when it strikes the lens. The generated image will end in imperfection. Both this phenomenon suggests that the lens isn't functioning normally.
