Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi yesterday swore in two judges for the State High Court.

The governor urged them to approach their task with the fear of God, integrity and wisdom.

The judges - Mrs Adenike Fadeke Adeeyo and Mr Adebukola Lajide - were advised to exhibit due diligence and professionalism in building a worthy society.

The inauguration at the Executive Chamber of the Governor’s Office, was attended by the Chief Judge, Justice Munta Abimbola, House of Assembly Speaker Michael Adeyemo, retired legal luminaries, including Justice Nurudeen Adekola and Chief Kareem Latunji.

Others are: Oba Abiodun Kola Daisi, Basorun Kola Daisi, members of the State Judicial Commission, judges of the State High Court and magistrates’ court.

Expressing optimism that the judges would add value to justice delivery, Ajimobi said the fear of God was important in the discharge and administration of justice.

He said: "We congratulate the two new judges and urge you to approach your duties with the fear of God, integrity and wisdom as a way of justifying government’s confidence in your appointment. We urge you to discharge your administrative duties with diligence and professionalism to build a worthy society where justice would reign.
